UK Queen Elizabeth II decided to call Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle in the coming days to make up after the couple's scandalous interview, Daily Mail reported.
56 hours after an interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, American TV presenter Oprah Winfrey, in which sensitive topics were raised, the British Queen's Office issued a statement.
The Buckingham Palace noted that the statements of Harry and Meghan Markle, especially with regard to manifestations of racism in the royal family, will be seriously studied. Harry, Meghan, and their son Archie will always be dearly beloved members of the family, the palace noted.
But now the Queen believes that the time has come for a more personal approach.
Elizabeth II warned the courtiers against discussing interviews with Harry and Markle, especially with the press, threatening serious consequences for this. A source wishing to remain anonymous told the Daily Mail that the palace was literally shocked by what happened, and some would very much like to publicly refute what the couple said.
In an interview on Sunday, Meghan Markle mentioned that her husband's relatives were concerned about the color of her child's skin.
