Chanel has lost its trademark fight against Huawei.
The European Court of Justice dismissed Chanel's objection to the registration of the Huawei logo in Europe.
The debate between the companies began in 2017 when Chanel filed a note of protest against the registration of the Huawei brand logo in Europe, but the objection was not upheld.
In 2019, the brand went to the EUIPO Appeals Board to challenge the decision, but the company was again turned down.
"The figurative marks at issue are not similar. The marks must be compared as applied for and registered, without altering their orientation," the tribunal of judges said.
