The daughter of Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, Virgo Cassel, has become the new Dior fashion and makeup ambassador, WWD reports.

“I have always had the greatest respect for the house of Dior, and the feminine and sophisticated image it represents has always made me dream,” said the model and actress.

Deva Cassel was born in Rome in 2004 and grew up in France and Brazil. As a result, she speaks five languages. She began modeling at age 16, appearing on magazine covers and fashion week runways.

"The first thing that comes to mind is a vintage Dior photograph that particularly captured my imagination when I was younger, which shows a woman's silhouette with a large hat - elegance and mystery in one image," she said.

Cassel noted that she would like to keep up with the house of Dior, “represented by modern young women, but also those who continue traditions.”

She described her style as "casual chic that can vary." “In everyday life, I prefer to wear oversized pieces and combine masculine and feminine styles,” she said. “But I also love trying new things and [mixing] styles. So you can imagine how grateful I am to Dior for giving me a reason to dress up.”

Cassel will be an ambassador for fashion created by Maria Grazia Chiuri, artistic director of Dior's women's collections, and color cosmetics designed by Peter Philips, creative and image director for makeup at the house. She will appear for the first time in the advertising campaign for the Dior Beauty 2024 summer collection, which launches on April 1.
