Britney Spears appears to be having a tough time. Her mental state is causing concern after her photos emerged from the Chateau Marmont hotel. They show a barefoot, half-naked Britney, wrapped in a blanket, escorted by emergency personnel.

In scenes reminiscent of her 2008 meltdown, Spears, 42, is in her underwear, clutching a pillow to her chest, and looking distressed. She is surrounded by security and Paul Richard Soliz. It was alleged that the couple had a heated argument and that a woman matching Britney's description was "harassing and threatening hotel staff and guests."

Also, Spears posted a disturbing message on Instagram, claiming that the photos showed "doppelgängers" and that she was "getting stronger every day."

But the star deleted this post and replaced it with an almost identical statement. “Just so people know...the news is fake!!! I also sprained my ankle last night and the paramedics showed up illegally at my door...They didn't come into my room, but I felt completely exhausted. I'm moving to Boston!!!"

LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey told The Daily Mail: “At 12:42 p.m., 911 received a call reporting an adult female had been shot.

“At one o’clock in the morning the ambulance arrived. I can confirm that no one was taken to hospital. Services left the scene at 1.17am. The police were not called."

TMZ reports that Spears arrived at the hotel late Wednesday night—police were called after a "disturbance" with a woman matching the singer's description who was reportedly "harassing and threatening hotel staff and guests." The officers present found nothing and left.
