Morgan Freeman has thanked his fans for their efforts in identifying unauthorized AI imitations of the actor's recognizable voice.
The iconic 87-year-old actor has become a legend for his storytelling in movies such as March of the Penguins, The Shawshank Redemption, and Million Dollar Baby.
The impeccable reputation of Freeman's voice has made him a particularly popular target for AI-generated voice impersonations, including a recent viral series of TikToks created by a woman posing as the actor's "niece." Freeman is not a fan of this practice.
“Thank you to my incredible fans for their vigilance and support in the fight against the unauthorized use of AI voices imitating me,” the actor wrote on social media. “Your dedication helps sincerity and honesty remain paramount.”
