There are calls in Russia to ban Kanye West from entering the country. According to the Mash Telegram account, activists from the “Forty Forty” movement have complained to the Moscow police about the lyrics of West’s songs.
They demanded that Kanye West be permanently banned from entering the Russian Federation because they found lyrics in one of the songs from West’s new album Vultures that “promote intolerance towards women of Russian nationality.”
Activists did not like the song written by rapper Ty Dolla $ign, in which a man declares that he will have sexual intercourse with a Russian woman “for Ukraine.” “At the same time, the Russian woman in the work of this artist appears exclusively in the image of a drug-addicted prostitute with perverted inclinations,” write the social activists.
In their opinion, Kanye speaks also “in support of Ukraine and against Russian military personnel and promotes drug use,” which, according to the petitioners, “could negatively affect minors.”
West visited Moscow on Sunday for the birthday of designer Gosha Rubchinsky. On Monday night, Kanye left the Russian capital, after which information appeared that he will give a concert in Moscow on September 6.
