By Syune Arakelyan

Canadian Mark Harrison, who is famous for his travel blog, has recently been to Armenia. He has stayed here for 4 days, but managed to collect some valuable memories, which he shares with NEWS.am STYLE.

"I was travelling through Georgia and it was only a quick flight to Yerevan, so I decided to visit," says Harrison. To the question, what expectations did he have before flying to Yerevan, he answers: "It was my first time and I never really travel with expectations, so that I won’t get disappointed at anything. I only spent 4 days and spent all my time in Yerevan. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to travel outside of the city. However I did visit Etchmiadzin and Zvarnots, which were both very cool!"

Mark is also impressed by Armenian cuisine, but he liked Boraki the most, "It is so full of flavour, wow!"

The famous Canadian traveler, who has more than a million followers on TikTok, says he is especially fascinated by the ancient history of Armenia.

"Armenia is such an old and significant nation, for example they own a quarter of the old city in Jerusalem. Armenian Christianity is one of the founding religions. Pretty crazy. I’m from Canada so we’re so new and have no significant history."

Mark started traveling in 2012 and has already been to 88 countries.

"I began travelling in 2012 started in Australia and then fell in love with it, I can’t get enough of seeing all the new corners of the world," he says. Bolivia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Antarctica and Mexico are on the list of the traveler's favorite countries.

"Travelling opens my mind up to all ways of life. Makes me realize that the way I was raised is not the only and best way to live. There are many ways to live a full and complete life," adds Mark.

As for returning to Armenia, "I hope one day I will come and see more of the country," he says.
