Trump takes Jeddah by storm: $1 billion Manhattan-style development in Saudi Arabia

21:18, October 2

The Trump brand is expanding its footprint in Saudi Arabia, teaming up with international developer Dar Global on the $1 billion Trump Plaza Jeddah project, which promises to transform the city’s skyline.

Like the previously announced Trump Tower Jeddah, the new development is designed in a Manhattan-inspired style. The complex will be located in the heart of the city and feature luxury residences, office spaces, and exclusive townhouses.

A central highlight will be a green area modeled after New York City’s Central Park, stretching along the entire complex to create a “piece of Manhattan” in Jeddah. The project blends residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, with offices adjacent to apartments and some residences offering private home offices.

“For us, it’s a great honor to expand our presence in Saudi Arabia with Trump Plaza Jeddah,” said Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization. “This project embodies our vision of excellence, combining world-class hospitality, contemporary living, and a dynamic business environment. Together with Dar Global, we are creating a landmark that will set a new standard of prestige and innovation in the Kingdom.”

Both Trump Plaza Jeddah and Trump Tower Jeddah will be located along the Red Sea coast, offering panoramic views of the city and waterfront. The complex is conveniently situated near the marina, the Formula 1 track, and the iconic King Fahd Fountain.

Trump Tower Jeddah will feature 47 floors and 350 residential units, ranging from penthouses to luxury apartments. Construction is already underway, with completion expected in 2029.

According to Knight Frank, $134 billion was allocated in 2024 for real estate and infrastructure development in Jeddah. The report also notes that the Premium Residency Visa allows foreign investors to obtain residency through purchases of properties worth $1 million or more.
