The stadium will serve as a centerpiece of the Kingdom’s bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup and promises to redefine sports architecture. With a seating capacity of 46,000, spectators will enjoy unmatched aerial views of the matches while taking in the futuristic cityscape. The structure is designed to run entirely on renewable energy, aligning with NEOM’s zero-carbon and sustainable vision.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027, with completion expected by 2032—well ahead of the World Cup. The arena will be directly connected to the vertical core of The Line, utilizing the city’s high-speed electric transit system for seamless fan access.
Beyond World Cup matches, the NEOM Sky Stadium will function year-round as a venue for a professional football club, concerts, and major international events. The project combines extreme architectural ambition with sustainability and cutting-edge technology, showcasing the future of urban design and entertainment.
