Kim Kardashian’s Series All’s Fair Renewed for Season 2 Despite Scathing Reviews

14:23, November 25

Hulu has delivered its verdict on All’s Fair, the legal drama starring Kim Kardashian — and it turned out far more favorable than critics expected. The series has been renewed for a second season just three weeks after its premiere.

What makes the decision notable is that it comes amid almost universally negative critical reception, with many reviewers calling the show one of the year’s weakest. But audience engagement proved stronger than the reviews. In its first three days, All’s Fair drew 3.2 million global views, marking the best launch for a Hulu original scripted series in the past three years.

The audience, it seems, is far kinder than the critics:

– on Rotten Tomatoes, the show holds a 66% audience score;

– on Metacritic, user ratings sit at 2.5/10 — still higher than the critics’ average.

The story centers on Alura Grant, played by Kardashian, a high-profile Los Angeles divorce powerhouse whose firm specializes in headline-making cases and major settlements for its clients. The cast also includes Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close.

The series was created by Ryan Murphy alongside Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken. Producers include Kardashian, Close, Watts, Nash-Betts, Paulson, Anthony Hemingway, and Kris Jenner. Murphy and Hemingway also directed episodes.
