Disney is returning to the enchanting world of Beauty and the Beast, but this time the spotlight is on the town’s most narcissistic hunter, Gaston! The new live-action film will explore how Gaston became the character audiences know, showcasing his adventures prior to the events of the original story.

The movie promises to delve into Gaston’s relationship with his loyal sidekick, LeFou, and, of course, will feature music—potentially including new songs. It remains unclear whether Luke Evans will reprise his role as Gaston from the 2017 film.

Disney continues to experiment with beloved characters through prequels, spinoffs, and fresh stories, offering fans a new perspective on familiar heroes. The creators’ main goal is to highlight Gaston’s egocentric side while maintaining the magical atmosphere of the classic tale.
