Shemena Kamali draws inspiration from how the young team at Chloé dresses, bringing a spontaneous, playful energy to the Pre-Fall 2026 collection—while keeping the brand’s signature appeal for perfectly tailored, effortlessly cool trousers.

The final collection charms with Chloé’s classic grace and Kamali’s love for the ’70s and ’80s. Her mood board features celebrity portraits by Francesco Scavullo, photographs from Bettina Rheims’ 1989 book Female Trouble, and Paloma Picasso in a frothy yet strong-shouldered Chloé gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld at her 1978 wedding.

“I thought a lot about not over-formulating things,” Kamali explains. Her goal is to create clothes that feel familiar but still full of novelty, inventiveness, and surprise… She adds, “It’s inspiring to see the new generation using fashion as an extension of their own individuality.”

Kamali maintains ties to Chloé’s heritage: leather bomber jackets with the elegance of blouses, lightly structured jackets with vintage charm, delicate lingerie-style tops and dresses, and flowing chiffon pieces.

Trousers take center stage, ranging from velvet stirrup styles and sleek suede leggings to garment-dyed workwear pants with straight cuts reminiscent of sailor uniforms. High-waisted jeans explode into wide, broomstick-like silhouettes, making a bold statement.

Kamali emphasizes that her goal is to create pieces people instinctively reach for, offering relatability with a twist of elegance—a playful yet grounded approach to modern femininity.
