Elie Saab brought the carefree Mediterranean jet-set of the 1970s back to the runway—from Milos to Marrakech—in his Spring 2026 collection. The designer drew inspiration not only from the glamour and travel of the era but also from the decadent spirit that travelers carry in their luggage.
The palette was luxuriously smooth: metallic gold, bronze, and milk-chocolate tones punctuated with vibrant pops of purple, energizing the overall golden spectrum. Saab looked to the ’70s Art Deco revival for influence, incorporating geometric beading, chevrons, metallic accents, graphic symmetry, and flowing lines. Swimsuit-inspired dresses with cutouts and halter collars, referencing 1930s activewear, complemented the festive lineup.

The collection sparkled with lamé, sequins, and shimmering fabrics, while long bead chains, scarves, and capes added boho flair. Silhouettes ranged from loose and voluminous to body-hugging dresses.

Bead chains cascading down models’ backs with architectural precision emphasized movement and playfulness. Saab boldly mixed prints—from leopard to tiger—crafting the ultimate “idle predator” jet-set look.

However, some designs sacrificed ease of movement: certain narrow dresses required models to lift hems on the runway, with two models even stumbling. In contrast, looser beaded tops and flowing skirts provided comfort and mobility.
