Although there are still months to go before Eurovision, fans of the contest have long been circulating predictions online, trying to guess who will become Armenia’s next “ambassador” at the prestigious pan-European competition.
Last year, the Public Television Company selected Armenia’s representative through the “Depi Evratesil” national selection. So far, this year’s format for choosing Armenia’s entrant has not been announced. However, we have noticed several fan theories that have been circulating online since last year.
Simon

Singer Simon, who is also an outstanding dancer, had already aimed to participate in the competition last year. During “Depi Evratesil,” Simon impressed the audience with his energetic stage performance but finished in second place. The winner was Parg, who became Armenia’s representative at last year’s contest.
Nevertheless, many believe that Simon is a Eurovision-ready artist and that his “Eurovision moment” is still ahead of him.
Athena Manoukian

Athena Manoukian’s name has been circulating since last year. Rumors spread across fan forums that the Greek-Armenian singer would become Armenia’s next representative. Athena herself has not made any official comments on the matter, though she has shared fans’ predictions on her social media pages.
It is worth noting that Athena not only participated in “Depi Evratesil” previously but also won the 2020 national selection. However, due to Covid-19, the contest that year was canceled in its usual format, and she — along with representatives from other countries — did not get the chance to perform on the Eurovision stage.
Brunette

Brunette represented Armenia in 2023 with the song Future Lover. She finished in 14th place, yet fans often write that her performance was underrated. Considering her recent hits, many would like to see her return as Armenia’s Eurovision representative.
Maléna

Armenia’s representative and winner of Junior Eurovision 2021 is also considered a fan favorite. Maléna is now 19 years old, and many fans would like to see her compete in the adult Eurovision contest as well.
Patrick Fiori

Talk of the French-Armenian singer’s possible participation began last year after an interview. During a live broadcast of the France 2 program “Quelle époque!”, in a conversation with host Léa Salamé and studio guests, Fiori spoke about his new album dedicated to Corsica, Corsu Mezu Mezu 3. However, the discussion quickly shifted to another important topic — his Armenian heritage.
Responding to Biolay’s joke that he “rarely misses an opportunity to mention Armenia,” the artist made an unexpected statement:
“In 2027, I will represent Armenia at Eurovision. In principle, everything has already begun.”
Suzanna Melkonyan

The powerful-voiced singer, who has won several international competitions, has long captured the hearts of Armenian audiences. Perhaps Eurovision is next?
Fans also frequently mention previous participants Sirusho and Iveta Mukuchyan.
Other discussions.
In terms of the visual show, rumors are circulating that Armenia has hired a leading European director this year, with an emphasis on high technology and AR.
Some believe that this year we will have an up-tempo song featuring Armenian folk instruments, but with high-quality production.
However, it should be noted that all the names mentioned above are merely online speculations from various discussions. Armenia’s official representative will be announced by the Public Television Company. Moreover, based on past experience, it is not impossible that the country’s delegate could be a completely new artist whose name is not currently being discussed.
Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna on May 12, 14, and 16.
