Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous private jet, nicknamed the “Lolita Express,” has been rusting away for nearly a decade in Georgia. Yet even years after its final flight, the aircraft remains a chilling reminder of the financier’s dark life, marked by the sexual exploitation of minors, reports the New York Post.
Journalists were recently granted access to the 40-meter Boeing 727 — the very plane prosecutors say Epstein used to transport victims around the globe. Stationed outdoors at Stambaugh Aviation in Brunswick, the jet is slowly deteriorating under the effects of time and weather.

Once a symbol of luxury, the interior is now covered in mold and insect damage. Inside are a bedroom, three separate lounge areas, a kitchen, and two bathrooms, all finished in expensive wood, plush carpets, and other high-end materials that now appear ghostly and abandoned.
The aircraft, registered as N908JE — a nod to Epstein’s initials — once carried high-profile passengers including former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers. But victims have testified that it was also the site of sexual abuse. Virginia Giuffre, for instance, has alleged that she was assaulted on board.

Among the dusty and moldy remnants, reporters found unsettling items: bottles of Johnson’s baby lotion and powder in the bathroom cabinets, used toothbrushes, hair ties, old towels, and even napkins bearing the monogram of Epstein’s other plane, N909JE. A disassembled satellite phone was discovered in a bedside drawer, alongside flight documents and aviation folders. In the cockpit, a black landline phone with its cord ripped from the wall lay hidden in a drawer.

Visitors enter via the rear stairwell, greeted by a heavy, musty odor — a product of Southern humidity and the jet being decommissioned since July 2016, its last flight.
To the left of the entrance is a neat bathroom where the baby products were found. Further in is the bedroom with a king-size bed covered in a white quilt, still equipped with emergency oxygen masks overhead. Victims have claimed the bed and carpeted flooring were used for sexual activity during flights.

The lounge is almost entirely draped in dark red velvet: walls, sofa, and chairs are upholstered in rich fabric, creating a strange, unsettling atmosphere. Beyond that is another seating area with gray crescent-shaped couches, followed by a kitchen and galley. In the final section before the cockpit, soft couches, a long wooden table, and mirrored wall panels complete the space.
Now, empty water bottles, an instant coffee tin, and other forgotten debris litter the cabin. Outside, the once-white fuselage is streaked with dark gray stains. The plane sits among aircraft previously owned by actor John Travolta and disgraced fashion designer Peter Nygard.

The airport owner says the nearly 60-year-old plane will never fly again. Three engines were removed in 2016, and its condition has deteriorated over the years. Restoration would require massive investment, he adds.
Records show that in January 2001, the jet was purchased by JEGE Inc., linked to Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, later convicted for her role in sex trafficking. Old photographs capture Epstein and Maxwell aboard the plane, as well as a smiling Bill Clinton in one of the red chairs.

In December 2018, months before Epstein’s federal arrest and subsequent death in custody, he transferred the plane to World Aviation Services LLC in Florida. By July 2024, the aircraft had a new owner: Jet Assets Incorporated of Wyoming.

Initially slated for scrap, the plane was never dismantled, accumulating tens of thousands of dollars in storage fees over the years. The airport owner admits he looks forward to the day he can finally dispose of this “creepy relic” — a silent witness to one of the darkest chapters of recent history.
