Sephora has unveiled a new AI-powered app within ChatGPT, designed to offer a more personalized shopping experience. The pilot version will initially be available in the U.S.

The app helps customers discover and select beauty products based on personalized recommendations drawn from their Sephora Beauty Insider profile. For example, a prompt like “Sephora, help me find a foundation for dry skin” will generate product suggestions tailored to the user’s purchase history and preferences—provided they choose to link their account, WWD reports.

Sephora’s loyalty program benefits, including free shipping and sample perks, remain fully accessible. In the future, users will also be able to complete purchases directly within the app.

“With the growing adoption of AI tools in daily life, apps on ChatGPT are reshaping consumer behavior worldwide,” Sephora said. “We’re leading this shift by bringing our unique beauty expertise and point of view into intuitive, AI-driven experiences that meet customers wherever they are.”
