Kim Kardashian is once again at the center of online debate — this time over her recent photos from Japan. Social media users are convinced that filters and photo editing played a major role in the images.

The reality star shared a series of snapshots from a family vacation in Tokyo. In one photo, she poses alongside her sister Khloé Kardashian at a claw machine, both wearing figure-hugging outfits in black and white.

However, fans’ attention was drawn not to the stylish outfits, but to the sisters’ faces. Khloé is holding a large plush toy, presumably a prize from the machine, yet viewers focused on her appearance, which many felt looked overly “edited.”

Kim was accused of heavy photo retouching. Many believe that filters and editing apps created the “perfect” look seen in the images. One Instagram user commented: “We saw you at the Oscars party. You don’t look like this. And your sister doesn’t either.”

On Reddit, reactions were even harsher: “Photoshopped beyond recognition,” “So much Botox and fillers — and still Photoshop?” and “Khloé’s lips are gigantic, it’s ridiculous.” Some even described Khloé’s appearance as “cartoonish,” while one user drew an unexpected comparison: “Her nose reminds me of Michael Jackson.”

Several commenters pointed out unusual proportions in the photos. “The filter is way too strong. Khloé is taller — around 178 cm — and Kim is about 157 cm. Here they’re almost the same height — it doesn’t add up,” one wrote.

Kim has long been suspected of relying on photo editing. Many believe she frequently uses filters to maintain a “perfect” image on social media, despite repeated criticism. In 2022, she dismissed such claims as “silly,” but judging by the audience reaction, that hasn’t stopped her from continuing to retouch her photos.
