Louis Vuitton unveiled its new high jewelry collection, "Mythica," in Marrakech, transforming the show into a grand narrative of travel, myth, and personal transformation, according to WWD.
According to Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari, the collection was a "celebration of travel in all its forms"—from geography and cultural traditions to imaginary worlds. He paid special attention to stones, calling them "the third form of travel": they have undergone a billion years of geological evolution before being fashioned into jewelry, and now continue their "journey" in the hands of their owners.

The collection is divided into 11 thematic chapters and includes 110 jewelry pieces, including, for the first time, an object that transcends the traditional concept of jewelry—a fine-jeweled fountain pen. Each chapter interprets the human journey as a series of trials and symbolic stages, where doubt gives way to growth, and search to mastery.
De Armas described the concept as the story of a female heroine who "writes her own path" and determines her own destiny. This idea became the emotional core of the collection, where the aesthetic is directly linked to inner transformation.

The show, set against the ochre hues of Marrakech and the evening light of the desert, opened with the "Conquest" chapter, where the arrow motif symbolized forward movement and intention. Key pieces included a necklace with Mozambique rubies, as well as jewelry with signature Monogram Star yellow diamonds, which flowed into earrings and rings.
Next came the "Totem" chapter, dedicated to strength and protection. The focal point was a massive torc necklace with over 200 diamonds, as well as amphora-shaped pendants designed to hold personal symbolic objects. It was in this part of the collection that an unusual object appeared – a jewelry pen, a metaphor for the idea of "writing your own story."

The brand placed particular emphasis on new approaches to precious stones, expanding the traditional concept of the "big four" (diamond, ruby, sapphire, and emerald). Louis Vuitton calls this approach working with "new gems" – rare and undervalued stones that are now acquiring new status thanks to their color, size, and optical effects.
Among them are a large katsai topaz weighing over 127 carats with a "cat's eye" effect, as well as rare zircons retrieved from archives and safes where they had been stored for decades. Even traditional stones – emeralds, sapphires, and rubies – were reimagined through complex designs and unusual combinations of materials.

The use of light, even ultraviolet light, became a distinct theme: some pieces reveal hidden design elements only under special lighting, adding an element of surprise and interactivity to the collection.
The collection's final chapter, "Victory," was dedicated to triumph and the symbolism of the laurel wreath. Here, the house presented particularly complex compositions with colored diamonds, encompassing dozens of shades—from green and yellow to pink and orange. The centerpiece was a ring with a vivid pink diamond weighing 3.31 carats, valued in the eight-figure range.
Ultimately, Louis Vuitton presented not just a jewelry collection, but a complete metaphor for a journey—from myth and symbol to personal history. In this context, the brand's main strength is not only the craftsmanship and rarity of stones, but also its willingness to create new visual and semantic worlds that extend far beyond traditional jewelry.
