Despite serving as honorary chairs and major sponsors of the 2026 Met Gala, Bezos noticeably skipped the iconic carpet walk, while Lauren made a dramatic solo entrance in a custom Schiaparelli gown inspired by John Singer Sargent’s scandalous “Madame X.”

Her appearance immediately fueled speculation, especially as public outrage over Bezos’ involvement in the event continues to grow.
