NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has once again found himself in the spotlight — but this time not for basketball or business. During the podcast It’s Giving, Shaquille spoke surprisingly openly about the kind of woman he dreams of having by his side. His requirements turned out to be rather unusual: according to the former center, he would like to meet a wealthy Arab princess.

Despite having an estimated net worth of around $500 million, O’Neal stated that even “$1 billion isn’t enough.”

In a conversation with host Sarah Fontenot, Shaquille decided not to beat around the bush and directly addressed his potential matches:

“Hello to all Arab princesses — call me. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, wherever you are.”

For many, this sounded unexpected. After all, O’Neal is one of the most successful athletes of his generation. He has built a career not only in the NBA but also in business, investments, and media. However, as it turns out, finding the right partner is still not easy for him.

A special place in Shaquille’s life has long been held by Abu Dhabi. According to him, it all started with a trip as an NBA ambassador, but over time the city became something more meaningful to him.

Shaquille admitted that he is attracted to women from wealthy families — and he means genuinely significant wealth. When the discussion turned to how rich his potential partner should be, the basketball star said with a smile: “Even a billion dollars isn’t enough.”

In Shaq’s view, someone at his level of fame and wealth needs a partner who is on a similar level — not only financially, but also psychologically. He believes that a large gap in status and lifestyle often creates problems in relationships. It is not just about money, but about compatibility in values, habits, and life experience.

“This is not about luxury living or being taken care of. It’s about compatibility,” O’Neal emphasized.

The podcast host disagreed with him, suggesting that Shaquille might simply be tired of always taking care of others and now wants someone to take care of him. “It’s not about being pampered. I already know my worth. But if you also have it together — or even more so — then the question becomes: how do we build something together?”

O’Neal also addressed the issue of honesty in relationships. According to him, when one person is significantly richer and more famous than the other, there is always doubt: whether they are loved for who they are or for their money and fame.

That is why he believes relationships with financially independent women are more honest and stable. “When someone is already successful on their own, a lot of suspicion and unnecessary questions disappear,” he explained.

Shaquille even described what he would be like in such a marriage. He said he would stay in great physical shape, always look sharp next to his wife, respect her space and career, provide emotional support and stability, and be there whenever he is truly needed.

O’Neal also joked that he would look “extremely sharp” in a tuxedo next to such a woman, and that she would be proud to be his wife.

In conclusion, the legendary center emphasized that relationships are not built on wealth, but on respect, emotional stability, and physical support. In his view, these are the foundations that make any relationship truly strong — even one involving a hypothetical “rich Arab princess.”
