"It’s Got a Very Sexy Vibe": Barack and Michelle Obama Flirt on Camera and Share Tips for the Perfect Date

14:14, June 30

Former U.S. President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama decided to share some personal dating advice.

"My first date with Barack was at a museum," Michelle Obama wrote on her Instagram on Monday, June 29. "Take it from us: the Obama Presidential Center campus is the perfect place for you and your plus-one."

The text accompanied a video featuring the nation's former first couple, recorded with the support of the Obama Foundation.

The new Obama Presidential Center, which opened to the public this June in South Chicago, is a massive campus spanning roughly 19 acres (8 hectares). The grounds feature public parks, event spaces, a city library, and a museum, People reports.

In the video itself, Michelle noted that the center would have been the ultimate spot for her first date with Barack. As the former president laughed, Michelle added: "If he had brought me here back then, I would've immediately thought, 'Oh, this guy is cool!'"

A Sexy Vibe and Couches for Cuddling

Michelle didn't hold back, calling the Presidential Center a "sexy place." "It’s got a date vibe," she emphasized, as her husband smiled approvingly.

According to Michelle, the large-scale art installations by Nick Cave, Marie Watt, and Mark Bradford that adorn the center only add to the venue's romantic charm.

Turning to her husband, Michelle continued: "And there are also these cozy little couches where you can sit down after a walk, put your arm around your significant other, and talk about life. It’s a great chance to see if your date actually knows anything about the world."

To wrap up the perfect evening, the former First Lady suggested stopping by Tafari's Kitchen—a restaurant named after the late White House chef Tafari Campbell—for a cocktail. She also added that "there's nothing more romantic" than laying out a blanket and sitting together on the grass by the center.
