An archival video featuring a self-proclaimed "time traveler"—who claims to have visited the year 2118 and returned with a grim vision of humanity's future—has once again gained popularity online.

The man, calling himself Alexander Smith, appeared on camera wearing a gray suit, a black tie, and a bizarre, latex-like mask that completely conceals his face. According to him, "the world as we know it is going to change a lot." The "agent's" extraordinary claims were originally published on the YouTube channel Apex TV back in 2018, but have recently gone viral again, Daily Mail reports.

Unsurprisingly, Smith provided no actual evidence of his claims, his employment with the CIA, or the fact of time travel itself.

Secret CIA technologies and abduction by "Men in Black"

According to Smith, his story began in 1981. By that point, he had allegedly already left the CIA and was working as a regular carpenter. One evening, while watching TV with his wife, there was a knock at the door. Two men in black suits stood outside. Introducing themselves as CIA operatives, they ordered him to follow them, forbidding him from even saying goodbye to his spouse.

Smith was blindfolded and flown by helicopter to a secret underground military base. There, scientists showed him a "time machine" and announced that he would become the first human test subject in an experiment to cross the boundaries of space and time.

"The technologies that you are using right now, such as smartphones, are actually developed by the government about 30 years before they are officially released to the mass market," Smith asserts, adding that the public "deserves to know the truth."

The prophecies: World War III and the end of nations

According to the "visitor from the future," world history will be altered by a devastating conflict that starts small:

1. Local Conflict: Initially, a clash will occur between the United States and North Korea.

2. Escalation: Soon, Russia will side with North Korea. Tensions will reach a peak, and the parties will launch nuclear missiles.

3. The Aftermath: Smith describes this conflict as World War III. Despite the catastrophic consequences, it is precisely this crisis that will force humanity to rethink the value of life.

By 2118, Smith claims, familiar national borders will be erased, and the planet will become a unified space free of wars.

The world of the future: An AI ruler and flying robots

Smith's most shocking claim involved how exactly the future world is governed. When he asked who the current president was, he was told that the planet has "only one leader."

Our world in 2118 is run by artificial intelligence. According to Smith, the people of the future view AI as the ideal ruler because, unlike living politicians, it guarantees peace, security, and technological progress.

Among other details of the future, Smith highlighted:

• Humanoid Robots: They possess the same rights as humans and look exactly like us, but they have no legs and hover about half a meter off the ground.

• Embedded Chips: Subcutaneous implants are embedded in the hands of robots (and humans), replacing passports, wallets, and any form of ID.

• Alien Disclosure: According to Smith's prediction, by 2028 the government will officially announce the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life, and time travel technology will become commercially available.

"A photograph from 2118"

As his sole piece of "evidence," Smith held up a blurry photograph to the camera, showing a futuristic cityscape with unusual, curved green buildings.

According to him, this location is called "District 508." The man claims that the sky over the city has a reddish tint, the skyscrapers shimmer with blue, and vehicles fly between them. The CIA allegedly confiscated the original photo, but he managed to make a copy. Smith explained the blurriness of the shot as "distortion caused by the time travel process."

Despite the obvious absurdity of the story and the complete lack of proof, internet users continue to actively debate it in the comments: some call the video an amusing fake and a prank, while others see a chilling prophecy in his words about AI dominance.
