Dolce & Gabbana once again transformed Sicily into their runway, unveiling the latest Alta Moda collection at the Radicepura Botanical Park near Taormina. Blending ancient Greek mythology, Italian craftsmanship, and couture extravagance, the show drew an A-list audience that included Jennifer Lopez, Monica Bellucci, and Christian Bale with his family.

Regarded as the pinnacle of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's creative vision, Alta Moda has always been a love letter to Sicily. It was in Taormina that the designers first presented the couture line in 2012, and this season they returned to the place where the journey began.

For one evening, Radicepura Botanical Park was transformed into a dreamlike palace. Surrounded by palm trees, citrus groves, and thousands of flowers, guests were welcomed by gilded Baroque-style thrones, ornate mirrors, angelic sculptures, and living installations featuring models long before the runway presentation began.

Among those seated in the front row were Jennifer Lopez, Monica Bellucci, Christian Bale and his family, along with the house's longtime couture clients and leading figures from the international fashion world.

This season, Dolce & Gabbana moved away from the familiar Sicilian imagery associated with The Godfather, turning instead to ancient Greek mythology as the collection's central inspiration. The designers imagined a meeting between Olympian goddesses and their modern-day counterparts.

Flowers became the defining motif of the show. Roses, peonies, orange blossoms, and other botanical elements bloomed across the garments through intricate embroidery, sculptural appliqués, and hand-painted details. One of the opening gowns was entirely covered in handcrafted floral embellishments, while another resembled a blossoming tulip with dramatic three-dimensional petals.

The collection also embraced the house's signature aesthetic: black lace, sheer tulle, sweeping veils, gold crosses, corsetry, and silhouettes inspired by early 20th-century fashion and the Victorian era. Rich fabrics including silk satin, velvet, organza, Chantilly lace, brocade, and macramé lace were embellished with crystals, gold embroidery, and intricate beadwork.

The finale featured a breathtaking gown titled Isola Bella ("Beautiful Island"), inspired by the waters surrounding Sicily. The model emerged within a monumental gilded frame, while an extraordinary train of blue, turquoise, and gray tulle flowed behind her like ocean waves. The show concluded to the soaring strains of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's iconic "Waltz of the Flowers."
