Billionaire Hunt Backfires: Penthouse Model Arrested During Dinner with Elderly Wealthy Fiancé

20:22, July 31

The high-profile romance between 64-year-old California billionaire Steven Klubock and Penthouse model Adva Lavi has ended in total collapse. The businessman called off the wedding and severed ties after his bride-to-be found herself at the center of a major criminal case: the model now faces up to 11 years in prison for serial thefts targeting wealthy men through dating apps.

Arrested Mid-Romantic Dinner

As reported by The California Post, the couple's romantic relationship came to an end in early June when Lavi moved out of Klubock’s $26 million Beverly Hills mansion. The lavish wedding, scheduled for June 12 in Jerusalem, never took place.

However, the billionaire remained on friendly terms with his ex-fiancée and even resumed communicating with her. On Tuesday evening, they were dining at the upscale Beverly Hills restaurant Azur when police stormed in and arrested Lavi for the second time.

The reason for the re-arrest was that the model had removed her electronic monitoring ankle bracelet, violating her bail conditions. The judge revoked her bail, and she is currently behind bars.

What Is the "Penthouse Model" Accused Of?

Adva Lavi faces a slate of criminal charges:

  • Serial "sugar daddy" thefts: She sought out wealthy men on dating apps, only to steal from them.

  • Coachella burglary: In April 2025, Lavi stole jewelry, designer sunglasses, credit cards, and luxury accessories worth over $25,000 from a rented Airbnb house.

  • Probation violations: She had repeatedly violated her release conditions prior (including trying to obtain an Israeli passport and leaving the county), but previously received only warnings.

In a bid to avoid prison time, her attorneys filed a plea for leniency, revealing details of her troubled past, including substance abuse, domestic violence, and working as an escort in Las Vegas.

The Billionaire Takes a Hit

Steven Klubock himself, who had previously financed a top-tier legal team for his fiancée, stopped paying her legal bills. What's more, playing the role of her "savior" backfired disastrously.

In May, the billionaire came under investigation himself and was arrested on charges of witness tampering and intimidating victims in Lavi’s case. The businessman was released on $300,000 bail, but now faces up to 11.5 years in prison. He is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles court on August 7.
