Bride Rides Her Favorite Cow: Farmer Hosts the Most Unusual Wedding of the Year

22:29, August 13

Usually, brides prefer to arrive at weddings in luxury limousines or classic cars. But 37-year-old British farmer Victoria Lee decided to fulfill a childhood dream she had harbored since she was 10 years old by arriving at the altar riding a cow.

On August 8 in Somerset, Victoria married her 40-year-old partner, Mike Lee. The ceremony at Holy Cross Church in Mark was unforgettable for every single guest, as the role of main "transportation" was played by a Swiss cow named White Chocolate Button.

First, the bride was brought to the church on a tractor, after which she mounted her favorite animal, which was decorated with a festive floral wreath.

"It was something I’ve always dreamed of—truly incredible," Victoria shared. "Although it sounds wild, people ride horses, and there’s no difference! White Chocolate Button was simply wonderful—she behaved brilliantly and took everything completely in stride. Without the cow, it wouldn’t have been my wedding! Our cows are our family and our life."

The ride itself lasted only about 30 seconds, but it became the highlight of the day. The animal experienced no stress whatsoever: according to the farmer, the cow has been participating in exhibitions since birth, is used to crowds of people, and even drops into the house for a treat of bread.

Preparing for the celebration required a colossal effort from the newlyweds. The couple spent 10 full years working toward this day, balancing event planning with hard labor on the farm. Due to her tight schedule, Victoria slept for only one hour the night before the wedding and woke up at 4:30 AM on the day of the ceremony to catch the morning milking.

After the official part of the ceremony concluded, the newlywed couple did something guests definitely didn't expect: they... returned to the farm to milk the cows, and only then joined their wedding reception.
