Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to return to the UK for an extended period has reportedly come as a complete surprise to the Prince and Princess of Wales. According to royal experts, the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to start school there in September.

The news has reportedly caused serious concern within William and Kate’s inner circle, with fears that it could reignite public scandals and trigger a fresh wave of tension, Fox News reports.

According to commentator Kinsey Schofield, Prince William was completely unprepared for such a turn of events.

“He knew Harry wanted to spend more time in Britain, but a full-scale return is something entirely different. William is having to deal with a situation he did not create and certainly would not have chosen given the state of their relationship,” she said.

British photographer and commentator Helena Chard noted that the Waleses are uncomfortable with the prospect of witnessing a new chapter in the Sussexes’ “never-ending soap opera.” According to her, the biggest obstacle to reconciliation is the complete loss of trust following years of public criticism of the monarchy by Harry and Meghan.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently in Scotland, where they are spending time with King Charles at Balmoral Castle. According to media reports, following the announcement of the move, the monarch and his eldest son held an emergency “summit” to discuss the situation. Sources reportedly claim that Harry and Meghan have not been invited to a private meeting with the King while William is there.

The Sussexes’ return is reportedly a particular source of concern for Catherine, Princess of Wales. Insiders emphasize that she was deeply affected by the accusations made in the past and does not want to revisit that period of her life.

“The idea of resurrecting the ‘Fab Four’ is pure fantasy. Too much has happened and too much has been destroyed,” Schofield said.

Experts agree that a reconciliation between Prince William and Prince Harry is unlikely in the near future. Sources close to William claim that he has “no desire to communicate with his younger brother on any level.”
