adidas has teamed up with Staten Island-born retailer Asphalt to release a limited-edition version of the iconic Samba, inspired by one of New York’s most recognizable treats — cannoli.

The classic sneaker silhouette gets a “dessert-inspired” palette of warm wheat, rich chocolate brown and playful pink. The color scheme pays homage to the golden cannoli shell, chocolate chips and the vibrant displays of New York pastry shops.

Contrasting details add depth to the predominantly warm, natural-toned design. The culinary theme becomes especially clear with a removable cannoli-shaped charm and an illustrated insole.
The collaboration also puts an emphasis on personalization. The sneakers can be customized with three interchangeable Velcro tongue options, which can also be completely removed, as well as three different sets of laces. This allows owners to switch up the look of the pair depending on their mood.

Only 600 pairs of the Samba will be produced, with each pair individually numbered. The sneakers are priced at $130.
