Angelina Jolie appears to be entering a completely new chapter of her life. Ten years after splitting from Brad Pitt, the 51-year-old actress is spending more and more time in New York, enjoying her freedom and, according to people close to her, finally feeling ready to think about her personal life again.

After many years in Los Angeles, Jolie seems increasingly drawn to New York. It is where she feels freer and can remain relatively anonymous.

“Deep down, Angelina is more of a New Yorker than an Angeleno. She feels more like herself in New York because she doesn’t get recognized as often,” a source told the Daily Mail.

According to the insider, New York is now set to become something of a home base for the actress. “She has a place there and a lot of friends, such as her former husband Jonny Lee Miller, so she feels at home. Her children also love New York,” the source said.

Atelier Jolie has become a particularly important part of her new life. The actress spends a great deal of time there, attending dinners, socializing with staff and learning various crafts, from working with textiles to embroidery and felting.

Moving to New York also works well for her children. Each of them now has their own interests and projects: Shiloh is pursuing dance, Vivienne is interested in theater, Pax is passionate about photography, and Maddox is exploring directing.

Jolie and Pitt raised six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. This year, the younger children turned 18, marking a symbolic transition into a new stage of life for the actress.

Jolie now plans to travel more. New York will serve as a launchpad for trips around the world, international film projects and the expansion of her business.

According to the source, the actress plans to spend a great deal of time in Cambodia, where she works with the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, and is also considering opening new Atelier Jolie spaces outside New York, including in Brazil and Europe.

“She has spent so much time being there for her children, and now she wants to travel. Her heart belongs to travel, meeting new people and having the opportunity to learn,” the source said.

And it is against this backdrop that, according to the Daily Mail, there may finally be room in Jolie’s life for a new man. However, after her painful and protracted divorce from Pitt, the actress reportedly has no intention of rushing into just any relationship. According to the outlet, she has fairly strict requirements for a potential partner.
