Bottega Veneta unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Milan Fashion Week, embracing relaxed silhouettes and generous proportions that seemed to glide over the body without restricting movement.

The show took place in a minimalist, pristine-white space that heightened the collection’s sense of lightness and weightlessness. Guests included Jacob Elordi and Julianne Moore, while Kendall Jenner was among the models walking the runway.

The brand also placed particular emphasis on the design of the show space itself. To create its unusual seating, Bottega Veneta invited artist Illia Goldman-Gubin, who worked with pressed cardboard.

The resulting structures were shaped by hand to evoke Bottega Veneta’s iconic woven leather texture. Layered and interlaced paper elements directly referenced the brand’s traditional Intrecciato technique — its signature weaving of leather strips.

As for the collection itself, it seemed to capture the transition from spring into summer through weightless fabrics and extremely loose clothing. Precise tailoring was given a softer interpretation, with rigid constructions giving way to space between the fabric and the body.

Structure met ease throughout the collection, while traditionally masculine and feminine wardrobe elements were freely mixed, blurring conventional gender boundaries in fashion.

Ultra-light leather took center stage, complemented by the signature Intrecciato weave. Instead of rigid shapes, the designers focused on soft draping, fluidity and a sense of movement.

The result was an exceptionally lightweight collection, defined by airy silhouettes, minimal visual heaviness and an array of striking handmade details, including exposed decorative stitching.

The accessories, by contrast, were deliberately oversized. Voluminous bags appeared in both eye-catching raffia and Bottega Veneta’s signature supple leather.

One of the most memorable accessories was a burgundy bag decorated with loosely stitched butterfly figures across its surface.

The footwear lineup also introduced several standout new designs. Louise Trotter presented new rubber ballet flats in several colors, tall white boots featuring Intrecciato weaving, and loafers embellished with large, sparkling stones.
