Season 3 of Wednesday Wraps Filming — But Fans Will Still Have a Long Wait for the Premiere

14:44, October 1

Fans of Wednesday have received both good and bad news. Production on the third season of Netflix’s hit supernatural series has officially wrapped, but viewers will still have to be patient before the new episodes arrive, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The good news is that filming on Season 3 is complete. The bad news is that the series is now heading into an extensive post-production phase, including a significant amount of visual-effects work. That means there will still be quite a wait between the end of filming and the premiere.

There was a three-year gap between the first and second seasons of Wednesday: the debut season premiered in 2022, while the second arrived only in 2025. This time, however, the wait is likely to be shorter.

A fall premiere next year appears entirely possible. After production on the second season wrapped, it took roughly eight months for the season to be completed.

Netflix has so far declined to provide additional details about the upcoming season.

Jenna Ortega will once again lead the cast as Wednesday Addams, the dark and sharp-witted student of Nevermore Academy who continually finds herself drawn into mysterious investigations.

The first season of Wednesday became the most-watched English-language original series in Netflix history. Among all Netflix series, however, the all-time record remains with Season 1 of Squid Game.

Season 2 of Wednesday also delivered impressive numbers, ranking sixth among the most popular English-language seasons of any series in Netflix history.
