Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire found himself in an unexpected role at his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer’s wedding: the actor personally officiated the ceremony as the jewellery designer married her new partner, billionaire heir Jeffrey Ogunlesi. The wedding took place just weeks after Maguire and Meyer officially finalised their divorce.

Meyer, 49, and Ogunlesi tied the knot on October 10 at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii. The designer’s new husband is the son of Nigerian billionaire lawyer and investment banker Adebayo Ogunlesi.

A host of celebrities travelled to the island for the celebrations. Among the guests were Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sánchez Bezos, Courteney Cox and Rachel Zoe.

However, it was Maguire, 51, who attracted particular attention. Not only did he attend his ex-wife’s wedding, but he also took on the role of officiant.

The former couple share two children: 19-year-old daughter Ruby Sweetheart and 17-year-old son Otis Tobias. Both were present at their mother’s wedding, along with Meyer’s third child.

Meyer announced her engagement to Ogunlesi in August 2024. She shared a photograph of the couple embracing at a restaurant table decorated with lit candles and delicate pink flowers. A large diamond ring was prominently displayed on the designer’s left ring finger.

“YES!!!” she captioned the picture.

Ogunlesi is the founder and CEO of The Ogunlesi Group, a company specialising in music and entertainment management.
