A Czech football coach has become an internet sensation after seemingly going out of his way to avoid looking at an attractive sports reporter during a post-match interview. Social media users praised his self-control, with some joking that his wife might be watching.

Reporter Sabina Jakšová was interviewing David Oulehla, head coach of Czech second-division club FK Viagem Ústí nad Labem.

During their conversation, the coach appeared to make a concerted effort to avoid eye contact with the journalist, seemingly determined not to let his gaze wander toward her revealing neckline. His behavior quickly caught the attention of social media users.

“He’s fighting for his life,” one user commented.

“His level of self-control is biblical,” another wrote.

“His wife is watching… Full respect for controlling where he looks!” a third joked.

Jakšová joined the club as a presenter toward the end of last season. Reflecting on her appointment, she admitted that the offer had come as a surprise.

The reporter also made no secret of the fact that her knowledge of football had initially been rather limited.

“My knowledge of football was minimal, to put it mildly… But I enjoy learning new things, trying my hand at different areas and developing. At the same time, everything is happening quite naturally: I’m gradually learning how the club operates,” she explained.
