Starting from Wednesday, world renowned Italian singer Robertino Loreti, who is also known as Roberto, has planned to give several concerts in Armenia and in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh.
Azerbaijan, however, is concerned by this information, reported Vesti.az of Azerbaijan.Russian artist and composer Sergey Apatenko forewarned Roberto as to the consequences of performing in NKR.“He took my words very seriously,” Apatenko noted.
But Fabrizio Maschi, who is Loreti’s representative in Italy, told the Azerbaijani side that the Italian singer plans to perform in Artsakh.
The Azerbaijan MFA, for its part, instructed its ambassador in Italy to contact Loreti and draw his attention to the fact that this will be an impermissible visit to the “occupied Azerbaijani territories.”
This means that, just like numerous other well-known persons, Robertino Loreti can be declared persona non grata in Azerbaijan. There are already about 300 names in this “black list” of Azerbaijan.
We were told that the Italian singer is aware of the fact that should he visit Nagorno-Karabakh, his name likewise can be included on official Baku’s “black list” and he may be banned from performing in Azerbaijan.
Robertino Loreti, however, responded that if a country does not allow him to perform in some place, he wants nothing to do with such a country.
