YEREVAN. – The Berd Municipality of Armenia’s Tavush Region and the Tavush Spiritual Revival Foundation on Sunday will hold the annual festival of honey and berry, Foundation Director Hayk Chobanyan said at a press conference on Thursday.
“This festival [which is titled Shamshadin Honey and Berry Festival] is organized for the past three years. Its objective is to contribute to the economic development of the Berd region through beekeeping and berry cannery. There will also be a concert program—singing, dancing—within the framework of the festival,” Chobanyan said.
The visitors may taste the delicious honey and berries of the region, and also take part in the exhibition and sale of local handicrafts.
“This event also aims to promote tourism development, since Tavush Region is one of Armenia’s [most] picturesque places,” Hayk Chobanyan added.
