Rihanna will no longer be performing at the 2016 Grammy Awards despite a highly anticipated performance as she is too sick to perform, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

The 27-year-old singer was set to perform her song “Kiss It Better” off her album Anti and showed up to rehearsals today, but had to back out after she didn’t feel up to performing.

 “Based on Rihanna‘s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna‘s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48-hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords,” her rep told us in a statement. The antibiotics she has been on for 3-days did not kill the infection adequately therefore she cannot perform safely.”
