Serj Tankian Delivers Moving Performance at ‘Game of Thrones’ Live Experience at The Forum, Los Angeles. According to Loudwire.com, The Game of Thrones Concert Experience kicked off in late February, bringing a fully immersive spectacle to fans of the wildly popular television series. Those in attendance on March 23 show got an even more unique experience, getting to soak up the program’s hit song with the aid of System of a Down‘s Serj Tankian.
“The Rains of Castamere” is famous in the world of Westeros, the fictional land where Game of Thrones is set. Guided by a piano and a symphony, Tankian showcases his broad range, starting off somber and unnerving. Moving along with the crescendoing energy, he explodes during the final moments in a moving performance that now stands among his finest achievements.
The Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience took three years to fully realize with over 800 linear feet of video screens, seven stages to help recreate the world of Westeros, 136 speakers placed throughout the arena that White Walker battle calls and dragon screams and seven battle scenes. The setting is so expansive, it takes 15 semi-trucks to transports everything from show to show.
