YEREVAN. – The fifth Aram Khachaturian International Festival kicked off in Yerevan on Wednesday.

Hollywood legend John Malkovich performed at the festival with the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia, headed by conductor Sergey Smbatyan.

Malkovich offered the audience to taste the “Report on the Blind” chapter from Ernesto Sabato’s On Heroes and Tombs novel and the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra by Alfred Schnittke with the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia.

The festival will last till December 11.
