ETCHMIADZIN. – After his brilliant performance at Wednesday’s opening ceremony and concert of the 5th Aram Khachaturian International Festival in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, Hollywood actor John Malkovich on Thursday continued getting familiarized with Armenian culture.

The famous actor visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and met with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, who thanked him for reciting passages from the works by renowned Armenian poet Gregory of Narek during the aforesaid concert.

Malkovich, for his part, thanked the Catholicos and noted that he is happy for his visit to Armenia because he is exploring here a new world, culture, and history which he knew little about.
