The reboot of the popular American series Sex And The City will have two new characters—an African American and an Asian woman—instead of Samantha, The Daily Mail reported.

A source close to the show said that man-eating Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall, will not feature in the new version, called And Just Like That.

“Samantha isn’t coming back, but we are introducing two new characters, strong and feisty women of color, who will help introduce the show to a new generation of viewers and more accurately reflect the world we live in,” the source said.

The magazine's interlocutor noted that it would be foolish to show the multicultural life of New York City only through the eyes of white characters.
