American singer Britney Spears will testify in court against her father James Spears in a custody case, Page Six reported, citing its source.

The main requirement of Britney and her lawyers will be the disqualification from participation in the case of James Spears. If the court supports the singer, then the issue of the cancellation of guardianship will be much easier to resolve, the newspaper notes.

Britney has been under the full tutelage of her father Jamie for 12 years, he controls her contracts, finances, and location. Such harsh measures are possible only in case of a serious illness, which, the fans are sure, the singer does not have. But the singer's father says differently: not so long ago he shocked journalists by reporting that Britney suffers from dementia.
