Shakira faces court in Spain for tax evasion

Colombian singer Shakira may face a court hearing in Spain for possible tax evasion, El País reported.
The prosecutor's office accuses Shakira of six tax crimes for about € 14.5 million. It is alleged that she did not pay taxes in 2012, 2013, and 2014. The singer explained this by the fact that all this time she lived in the Bahamas, and visited Spain on rare occasions.
In June 2019, the singer testified in a Spanish court in a case of possible tax evasion.
