Elton John's private jet made an emergency landing, The Sun reported.

The artist flew from the UK to New York, where he was supposed to perform at Madison Square Garden. About an hour later, something went wrong, so the pilot had to turn around off the coast of southern Ireland. He contacted air traffic control to announce an emergency landing.

Elton John was shocked by what happened, but did not want to disappoint the fans. The singer boarded a later flight to perform in New York City as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.
