Russia will not be able to participate in international song contest Eurovision in 2022, RIA Novosti reported, citing the organizers of the musical competition.
Earlier, the Finnish TV company Yle said it would not send yet selected participant to the international song contest Eurovision in 2022 if the representative of Russia takes part.
The broadcaster, which organizes the contest, called on the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to completely exclude Russia from the Eurovision participants, citing the special military operation in Donbas, which, as the broadcaster said is "contrary to all the values that Yle and other European broadcasters represent."
The Eurovision 2022 final will take place in Turin, Italy, on 14 May 2022.
