American singer and actress Lady Gaga said she wanted to end her career because of mental health issues, The Independent reported.
“There was a time when I thought that I would never return to the stage. I was so sad that I saw nothing but a painful nightmare," she said.
The singer added that the support and love of her fans helped her to continue her music career. Gaga noted that now she has no problems with her mental health. “I overcame my nightmare with love, support, trust, truth, courage, talent and dedication. I’m so grateful,” the singer said.
In 2017, the singer was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The disease is characterized by acute pain in the musculoskeletal structures. Three years after that, the artist spoke about depression and the desire to commit suicide.
