Ten of Lady Gaga's former dancers accuse her choreographer of bullying

20:12, July 23

Lady Gaga's long-awaited The Chromatica Ball world tour kicked off in Germany. And, as luck would have it, at the same time news about a scandal within the singer's team appeared.

Allegedly, five dancers from the star's show left the team shortly before the start of the tour. And then at once ten former members of the backup dancers accused Gaga's choreographer of a toxic attitude.

We're talking about 43-year-old Richie Jackson, who has been working with the singer for a long time. Allegedly taking advantage of his position, he allowed himself to insult and make fun of subordinates, causing many dancers to leave the pop star's team.

"He abused me; he embarrassed me; he made me feel terrible in the workplace, just because he could," Rolling Stone magazine quoted dancer Caroline Diamond as saying. "Gaga was my dream … I chased it and I got it, and she is the dream, and then you get there, and this man makes your dream a nightmare," said the dancer.

The publication quotes five other dancers with similar statements. Two of them admitted that they voluntarily quit their dream job because of a harmful choreographer. At the same time, all idolize Gaga and claim that she had nothing to do with the toxicity in the team, she was not even present at many rehearsals.

Now the singer's team will have to deal with these accusations. Toxicity in Western society today is no better than sexual harassment.
