'House of the Dragon' showrunner Miguel Sapochnik has announced that he is leaving the project, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Sapochnik has decided to leave the project after three years working on the Game of Thrones prequel. Ryan Kondal will be the only showrunner for the series. The second season will also see Alan Taylor, the former 'Game of Thrones'director, join the 'House of the Dragon' team and serve as an executive producer. It is noted that Sapochnik will remain in a similar position.
"It was incredibly tough to decide to move on, but I know that it is the right choice for me, personally and professionally," Sapochnik stated.
