Alec Baldwin will continue to work on film 'Rust' after tragic accident on set

American actor and producer Alec Baldwin will continue to work on the film "Rust" after the unintentional murder of cameraman Halyna Hutchins on the set, the Daily Mail writes.

On Oct. 21, 2021, on the set of "Rust," Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun that was loaded with live ammunition, not blanks. They hit two crew members: Halyna Hutchins, a 42-year-old camera operator, and Joel Souza, the film's 48-year-old director. Doctors were unable to save the cameraman. Souza was later discharged from the hospital.

Filming will resume in January 2023. It is specified that the question of the fate of the picture was considered in court, one of the participants in the process the husband of the deceased operator Matthew. As a result, the parties agreed to continue filming. The director of the film, Souza, stated that "this film will be devoted tohonoring Halyna’s legacy and making her proud. It is a privilege to see this through on her behalf."

Matthew will be the film's executive producer. He agreed that his wife's death was a terrible accident.
