The University of California, Berkeley is set to offer a course on Nicki Minaj during the Spring 2023 semester, Hypebeast reported.
Entitled Nicki Minaj: The Black Barbie Femmecee & Hip Hop Feminisms, the course was announced by a professor in a series of now-protected tweets and was described as a class that “is interested in thinking critically about [Minaj] and [her] productions w/in the context of broader historical-social structures & hip hop feminisms.”
The rapper herself responded to a separate tweet about the course and shared that she’d “love to stop by,” while the professor explained that “having [Minaj's] personal insights would be AMAZING” in class.
The announcement arrives just shortly after Minaj released a selection of new material including a second remix of Skeng’s “Likkle Miss,” a collab with BLEU entitled “Love in the Way” and her solo single “Super Freaky Girl,” which broke Spotify records and gave Minaj her first solo No. 1.
