American stand-up comedian Chelsea Hart has expressed her support for Armenians and highlighted the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Armenians by Azerbaijan. She shared her concerns on Instagram, where she has 266 thousand followers, in a video that addresses the situation.
“This is happening. But you wouldn’t know it from the news,” she wrote.
In the video, Hart condemns Azerbaijan's actions and points out that the media is not adequately covering the ongoing crisis. She states that Azerbaijan is committing genocide against ethnic Armenians, killing civilians, and terrorizing the elderly. She highlights the displacement of thousands of Armenians and the hundreds of victims, as well as Azerbaijani soldiers' disturbing videos showcasing bombings, dismemberment of bodies, and the destruction of cultural sites while promising "full integration."

Chelsea Hart also calls for sanctions against Azerbaijan and expresses solidarity with Artsakh. She emphasizes that this is not her first show of support for Armenia and previously highlighted the situation in Artsakh, emphasizing the region's long-standing quest for independence and democratic self-governance.
This is not the first time Chelsea supports Armenia. Earlier, she had written, "The Armenian-majority region of Artsakh declared its intention for independence immediately after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. It has functioned as a self-governing, Democratic, autonomous region for 31 years, while Azerbaijan has gone on to reach a freedom index equal to that of regimes like North Korea in the same time frame. Aliyev murders his own journalists, what do you think he does to Armenians? This is ethnic cleansing."
