Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt re-team to produce a remake of The Thin Man

15:05, October 10

After teaming on to star on the big screen in last year's Babylon, Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt will be teaming up as producers, on a remake of The Thin Man, Daily Mail writes.

Robbie's LuckyChap Entertainment and Pitt's Plan B production companies have obtained the rights to the 1934 classic The Thin Man, via The Wrap.

The rights to the iconic 1934 novel by Dashiell Hammett - considered by many to be one of the greatest detective novels ever - only recently became available.

There is no indication yet if either Robbie, 33, and Pitt, 59, have any plans on starring in the movie themselves, though casting wouldn't be announced until after the SAG-AFTRA strike is concluded.

It's possible they could play the film's leads - detective Nick Charles and his socialite wife Nora - though that has not been confirmed, with the project said to be a modern-day retelling of the book. William Powell and Myrna Loy starred as Nick and Nora, with Maureen O'Sullivan playing the former client's daughter Dorothy.
